Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of track practices and competitions.
- Provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes in various track and field events.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance and progress of student-athletes.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and events.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and growth.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and performance.
- Assist in organizing and managing track meets and other events.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition.
- Previous experience in coaching or working with student-athletes in track and field or related sports.
- Strong knowledge of track and field events, rules, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Must pass a background check and comply with school district policies.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during the track season.
