What you will do

Hamilton Security is offering direct hire full time opportunity for Powder Coating Lead

Summary:

The Powder Coating - Lead ensures team members perform duties in the application of powder-based paint to enhance and protect unit as per customer and company design specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the powder coating department, including the pre-treatment system, dry-off/curing oven and electrostatic application booth.
• Work with Supervisors regarding scheduling, color changes and scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain the pre-treatment system by monitoring the chemical levels and scheduling preventive maintenance.
• Control inventory of powder and chemicals.
• Perform quality inspection so as to ensure proper application of paint or finish. Ensure accurate record keeping of materials used for environmental reporting.
• Stage and/or move completed painted items to appropriate next step in the manufacturing process.
• Communicate status of work assigned and related problems to proper member of supervision.
• Maintain work area(s) in accordance with company housekeeping standards, 5s and Lean.
• Follow company safety procedures and protocols.
• Excellent Attendance required.
• Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2 years of experience as a powder coat operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.
• Consistent work history.
• Good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check (7 years).
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Adherence to all safety requirements including Safety glasses and safety shoes/boots are required.
