What you'll do
As a Cook at Hamilton Trace, you will play a vital role in creating delicious and nutritious meals for our residents, ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met. Your culinary expertise will contribute to a warm and inviting dining experience, fostering a sense of community among residents. You will be responsible for preparing meals from scratch, utilizing fresh ingredients while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Collaboration with the kitchen team and communication with dietary staff will be essential to ensure that all meals are prepared efficiently and to the highest quality. Ultimately, your work will enhance the overall well-being and satisfaction of our residents, making a meaningful impact in their daily lives.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, following health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs.
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist in ordering food and supplies as needed.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or certification.
- Experience working in a senior living or healthcare setting.
