Job Description: The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District is seeking an energetic and dynamic individual with a passion for teaching visual arts to students in grades K-5. In this full-time position the candidate will be scheduled to deliver art instruction at both the Winthrop and Buker Schools. The successful candidate needs to be a flexible team player. Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for elementary students.Teach a variety of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.Foster creativity, critical thinking, and an appreciation of art in students.Integrate art lessons with other subjects when appropriate to support interdisciplinary learning.Prepare and display student artwork throughout the school and at events.Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment conducive to creativity and learning.Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the schools arts curriculum.Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and participation.Uphold school policies and promote a positive school culture.Successful applicants will also have experience in utilizing technology to support instruction and a strong teamwork ethic.Experience with Responsive Classroom or Open Circle is a plus.
