FT Housekeeping Aide - Courtyard Evansville East

Housekeeping Job DescriptionPerforms routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and any other area that may be assigned.  Supplies areas with items required for the convenience and comfort of the guest per Marriott Brand Standards.   The person holding this position is responsible for carrying out all assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.   We offer: medical, dental, vision, 401K, and other ancillary benefits PTO  uniforms provided time and a half for 6 Holidays a year pay increases twice per year Marriott hotel discounts   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma desired. Dependable work background.   PREFERRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS: Must be mature, neat in appearance, courteous, and friendly. Ability to work varied number of hours per week on a rotating basis. Must be available to work weekends. Must be able to operate a vacuum cleaner. Must be in uniform and wearing nametag at all times. Must display a high degree of pride and integrity in job performance. Must be able to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to his or her position and employment. Must be capable of the physical activity necessary to be able to perform all of the tasks designated for laundry personnel, and general cleaners. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to see problem areas arise in individual rooms and be able to communicate these problems to Executive Housekeeper (or Assistant Executive Housekeeper) either verbally or in writing. Must be able to work weekends, some Holidays   PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, carry, or push (up to 50 lbs.), lift (up to 25 lbs.), see (for dirt or stains), hear (for security purposes), climb stairs or ladders, and have manual dexterity. Ability to work in an atmosphere that is demanding and physical.
