Hamlyn Williams has partnered with a top tier FBO to find a talented Director, Credit Officer to analyze credit risk for structured finance transactions, primarily in North America, with a focus in ABS
This role involves reviewing credit applications from front office teams, preparing credit analysis reports, and presenting recommendations to senior management. The scope of analysis includes quantitative and qualitative assessments of obligor risk, transaction structure, asset classes, and profitability, ensuring alignment with relationship strategies and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit risk of proposed transactions and underlying assets, providing written recommendations to senior management.
- Coordinate the credit approval process between front office teams and credit management.
- Guide front office teams to ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and US regulatory requirements.
- Manage other credit-related tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in corporate finance or structured products.
- Deep understanding of structured finance (securitization/asset-backed lending) and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a high volume of deals in a fast-paced environment, delivering credit analysis and recommendations swiftly.
- Strong critical thinking, risk sensitivity, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration (MBA/CFA preferred).
Salary : $245,000 - $270,000
