Hamlyn Williams is supporting a leading, high-growth SaaS company, that is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their leadership team and report to the CFO. This person will play a critical role in managing the financial strategy of the organization.
This is a fully remote role- must be based in the US
Responsibilities
ASC 606 Compliance & Financial Reporting
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards across the organization.
- Ensure the accurate reporting of revenue, including SaaS contract terms, renewals, and expansions, and manage the associated reconciliation processes.
- Oversee the preparation, presentation, and integrity of all financial statements in compliance with ASC 606.
- Coordinate with the external audit team to ensure proper documentation and compliance with all relevant accounting standards.
Rolling Forecasting & Cash Flow Management
- Lead the development and management of a detailed rolling forecast to track cash flow, revenue, expenses, and operational KPIs.
- Provide ongoing analysis of financial performance, highlight any variances, and offer insights to senior leadership to improve decision-making.
- Partner with department heads to align business units with financial forecasts and strategic objectives.
Workday Financials Expertise
- Manage the integration and optimization of Workday Financials, ensuring efficient workflows, financial reporting, and compliance.
- Utilize Workday Financials for detailed financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives.
- Leverage the capabilities of Workday to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance real-time reporting for the leadership team.
Operational & Process Improvement
- Continuously optimize financial systems, including Workday Financials, and establish best practices to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability in financial operations.
- Partner with other departments to refine financial processes, ensuring cross-functional alignment and efficiency across the organization.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA, MBA, or equivalent professional certifications preferred).
- 5 years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years working at a SaaS company.
- Proven expertise with ASC 606 and managing revenue recognition for SaaS businesses.
- Strong experience in creating and managing a rolling forecast, managing cash flow, and performing detailed financial analysis.
- In-depth experience with Workday Financials, including financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting within the Workday ecosystem.
