What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis position at Hamlyn Williams?
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of FP&A to lead the financial operations of a high-growth supply chain and working capital platform.
This role is Hybrid from the Midtown Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate monthly/quarterly management reports, including revenue, spreads, expenses, balance sheets, and ROE/ROA analyses.
- Performance Insights: Analyze business performance and deliver concise, compelling financial narratives to align stakeholders.
- Strategic Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and actionable insights into business trends, operational challenges, and strategy implications.
- Visualization & Efficiency: Leverage advanced visualization tools to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Regulatory & Audit Support: Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of financial reporting; support audit processes.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Work with internal and external partners to implement initiatives, resolve challenges, and drive productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- 10 years in financial services, including roles in lending, banking, asset management, insurance, or specialty finance (multi-national or corporate institutions preferred).
- 8 years in progressive financial management roles, with at least 4 years in a leadership position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CFA preferred).
- Proficient in financial reporting, data analysis, and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, or similar).
- Familiarity with NetSuite, NSPB, or Hyperion preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
