VP - Compliance Audit

Hamlyn Williams have partnered with a privately held, FBO with offices located in New York City, that are looking to hire am VP of Compliance Audit.

This role is on a hybrid basis out of New York City, three days per-week. If you are not able to work on site please do not apply.

As a VP Compliance Auditor, you will:

• Lead the Banks Risk-Based Compliance audit plan, covering all regulatory and operational audits, adhering to industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Have a deep understanding of the companies regulatory environment, and any applicable laws, regulations and policies.
• Lead the execution of high-value audits, ensuring key controls and design efficiency are adequately implemented, and identifying and inefficiencies, whilst making recommendations for improvement.
• Prepare and summarize audit reports to senior management, Board level Committees and stakeholders, whilst developing long-lasting, collaborative relationships.

As a VP Compliance Auditor, you will need:

• 7 years’ Audit or Compliance experience within a bank or financial institution.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or similar
• CIA, CPA, CAMS, CRCM or other relevant certification is preferred
• Significant experience undertaking financial crimes, risk and compliance audits, with an expert level understanding of BSA/AML, KYC, Sanctions, etc.
• Strong familiarity with banking and broker dealer regulations; FDIC, NYDFS, CFPB, FRB and FINRA, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
