Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a robust, high-quality casting pipeline to identify captivating guests whose stories resonate with our audience.
- Efficiently handle a high volume of applications, quickly identifying and pursuing the most compelling candidates.
- Conduct initial outreach and vetting, including comprehensive pre-interview calls to understand each guest’s financial history and personal story.
- Collaborate closely with producers and the creative team, pitching potential guests internally and crafting engaging storylines to guide episodes.
- Coordinate guest bookings, including travel arrangements and logistical support, ensuring seamless communication from initial contact through filming.
- Manage the on-set guest experience, ensuring comfort, safety, and a positive environment throughout the production.
- Assist on-set during filming, supporting episode producers to ensure smooth execution and high-quality content delivery.
- Help craft engaging thumbnails and titles, collaborating with Caleb and the creative team to maximize audience engagement.
- Gather and organize all necessary documentation and releases from guests.
- Ensure the production schedule is effectively managed and deadlines consistently met.
What Makes You a Fit:
- 4 years of casting or production experience, ideally with digital-first, TV, or streaming platforms.
- Must be in the Austin area or willing to relocate.
- A players thrive here. Those who consistently perform at a B or C level may find this isn’t the right long-term fit.
- Proven success in high-volume casting environments with quick turnaround requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills and a talent for establishing rapport and trust with guests.
- Strong storytelling ability, including experience developing narratives and episodes from initial guest interviews.
- A keen creative eye with the capability to identify engaging, authentic stories that align with Hammer Media’s vision.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of YouTube and familiarity with the types of content that resonate best on the platform.
- Ability to provide insightful, constructive feedback and contribute meaningfully to creative discussions.
