General Laborer

Job Description:
Hammers Industries is looking for a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. As a General Laborer at Hammers Industries, you will play a key role in supporting our labor team by performing a variety of essential tasks in a shop environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform general housekeeping and janitorial functions in the shop, including sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, lunchroom, boxes, and the lumber area.
• Maintain the organization of work areas, ensuring that all spaces are neat, tidy, and safe.
• Perform blasting operations and maintain the blast room and equipment.
• Manage inventory and place requests for blast media as needed.
• Maintain designated prepacked jobsite boxes, assist various teams with packing and unpacking for field service work.
• Ensure proper functioning of air hoses, rigging, and lifting devices, replacing them when required.
• Monitor and requisition supplies for housekeeping, janitorial needs, consumables, and shipping materials.

Experience

• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Previous media blasting experience is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment and performing repairs as needed.
• Experience operating forklifts or similar machinery is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
