An established and growing commercial construction firm serving the Charleston area is looking for a Construction Estimator. The firm's projects include various industries in both government and private sectors
Key Responsibilities:
- Researching and analyzing the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and transportation.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Obtaining and evaluating quotes from suppliers and contractors within project timelines.
- Assessing and managing the risk levels associated with each project.
- Preparing and submitting accurate quotations, including detailed breakdowns of work and associated costs.
- Assisting with preparing bids for new contracts and providing support to the purchasing team.
- Monitoring and tracking project costs throughout various phases to ensure adherence to budget.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Planswift or Bluebeam software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience in estimating commercial construction projects is preferred.
