Job Summary

Hammitt is seeking an experienced Stylist to work with the La Jolla Store Manager and team to create a customer-centric environment. We are looking for an individual with a passion for styling and clienteling, providing outstanding customer experiences, and a drive to achieve results.


Your Role & Responsibilities

· Build rapport through conversation and storytelling to gain new customers and maintain current customer loyalty

· Develop and retain excellent product knowledge, including current, past, and upcoming seasons

· Provide outstanding customer service by meeting the customer’s needs, creating positive shopping experiences, and exceeding customer expectations

· Actively listen and engage with customers to assess their needs and recommend the most fitting product(s)

· Share in-store promotions and new arrivals

· Cross-sell and Up-sell products: Proactively identify and recommend complementary products, offer customers higher-end or more feature-rich products, and personalize product recommendations based on customer purchase history and interests to increase their purchase value and spend

· Create and execute visually stunning and engaging displays that capture customer attention and drive sales

· Assist in maintaining inventory to ensure products are in stock

· Collaborate with team members to keep the sales floor clean and organized

· Maintain a positive workplace environment that promotes an encouraging workplace culture

· Be open to receiving feedback from the Store Manager and other team members

· Process sales transactions with engagement, efficiency, and accuracy

· Must be thorough and precise to ensure accuracy when assisting with shipping and receiving merchandise


Skills, Abilities, Requirements

· Fashion retail experience, customer service, and customer-facing interactions (1 year min)

· Clienteling experience (preferred)

· Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree (preferred)

· Confident and a clear communicator, both in writing and speaking

· Excellent listener who is able to accurately understand and respond to the needs of others

· Positive attitude, ability to move fast, be bold, and thrive in a dynamic environment

· Be available to work nights, weekends, and potential holidays

· Familiarity with Shopify and NetSuite are a plus
