Reporting to the District Manager, the La Jolla Store Manager will oversee all store operations and staff to maximize sales and enhance brand image. This will include exceptional levels of customer service with the ability to develop and expand our customer base through localized marketing, partnerships, and exceptional clienteling. The ideal candidate will have a strong retail background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities :
- Total responsibility for store management, team management, and retail performance
- Act as a strong Brand and Marketing representative in the community
- Supervise and, as necessary, be prepared to fulfill all store functions within the four walls of the facility
- Drive financial performance and aim to exceed targets
- Analyze selling and profitability reports
- Develop client strategies and programs to give the highest levels of customer service
- Implement and manage client outreach and all clienteling
- Actively monitor customer issues, comments, and complaints, resolving all client problems and complaints quickly and effectively
- Recruit, select, orient, and train employees
- Continuously maintain and improve store staff performance goals by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, as well as planning, monitoring, and appraising job results with yearly performance reviews
- Coach and develop retail associates to meet store sales goals, visual merchandising presentation directives, and customer service standards
- Resolve all Store HR issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with corporate when necessary
- Secure merchandise by implementing security measures
- Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control, take accountability for the movement of all inventory, and ensure that staff adheres to Shipping / Receiving policies and procedures
- Maintain awareness of market trends, monitor local competitors, innovations, and technology developments within the industry
- Market merchandise with the Head Office Marketing Team regarding advertising, sales promotions, and Visual Merchandising plans
- Organize special promotions, displays, and events (in line with corporate directives)
- Enhance the brand's image by maintaining standards and integrity both within the boutique and outside
- Work closely with relevant internal (corporate) teams on routine activities and special ad-hoc projects / events
- Maintain operations by coordinating and enforcing all policies and procedures
