Position:
Pottstown Quality Lab Assurance Manager
Summary:
Hammond Lead Products, Pottstown Plant, Division of Hammond Group, Inc. (HGI) located in Pottstown, PA. This position will be responsible for QA activities within the Pottstown facility. The position reports to the Pottstown Plant Manager.
Quality Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervision of laboratory personnel
- Interface with customers on technical/ product quality issues
- Follow-up on any upset conditions in the plant
- Ensure Calibrations and document verification of facility equipment
- Assure adequate Quality Standards training is maintained for all facility personnel
- Maintain Quality Management Systems, documentation and IATF Certification for the facility
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for measuring product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management, highlighting quality metrics and improvement initiatives.
- Identify potential quality risks and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent defects and non-conformances.
- All other reasonably related duties to the positions as assigned.
Candidates should meet the following Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in industrial hygiene, safety, environment, chemistry or a related field.
- 5-10 years’ field experience in environmental programs and industrial hygiene.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance with federal, state and local EPA regulations.
- Analytical laboratory experience
- Knowledge of OSHA General Industry occupational safety programs.
- Computer system experience with Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Able to plan and prioritize work and manage time effectively.
- Able to work as a team member and deal with people in a professional, courteous manner.
- Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand or walk for extended time, climb ladders to elevated platforms, and lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds while performing duties.
- Travel Requirements: Be able to travel to Hammond, IN for initial training which can extend for several weeks to one month. Estimated quarterly travel required long-term.
