Job Description
Candidate will:
- Perform abstracting and coding of inpatient and outpatient records under the supervision of the Manager
- Work with physicians to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation in order to code diagnoses and procedures
- Protect the privacy and confidentiality of our patients’ information. Patient privacy is very important
Access to protected health information is limited to the minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.
Certification
- CPC, CCS or coding credential equivalent required.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Computer experience is required.
- Prior coding experience is preferred.
