Hammond Lumber Company, voted 2024's Best Places to Work in Maine, is seeking a Full-Time Network Administrator for our Belgrade, Maine location.
Job Responsibilities :
Provide support and ownership of the network infrastructure by optimizing stability, availability, reliability, and performance.
Manage and support network firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and other network hardware / virtual appliances.
Advanced Network Design and Administration : Manage and optimize technology systems with a particular focus on Networking, Microsoft 365, and Zero trust environments.
Develop and implement a technology business plan and roadmap that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
Provide excellent customer service to all levels of employees including customers, peers, and leadership.
Troubleshoot complex network issues, providing rapid resolution and preventive maintenance.
Create and maintain documentation related to networking infrastructure components including network diagrams, rack diagrams, and technology data flow diagrams.
This position is primarily on-site with the possibility for hybrid for qualified candidates.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or higher)
6 years of technical experience in IT infrastructure, networking, with a focus on complex networking.
Ability to travel to other sites and work after hours when needed.
Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
Apply critical thinking skills to solve business problems.
Advanced understanding of WAN, LAN, and WLAN technologies.
Experience with Network Design, Advanced Firewall, Switching, and Routing technologies.
Deep understanding of IP communication and routing, advanced required.
Knowledge of network protocols (QoS, BGP, DNS, DHCP)
Knowledge of Zero trust network principles and remote access technologies.
Experience managing and supporting enterprise technology solutions.
Asset management, deploying, implementing, and managing 3rd party antivirus / anti-malware software.
