Reporting to the General Manager, the Manufacturing / Quality Engineer role is accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the manufacturing facilities and is responsible for process definition / optimization, ISO 9001 implementation and quality system management, safety policies / procedures, production tooling / fixtures, and collaboration with engineering, procurement, and other cross-functional teams driving design for manufacturability along with leading introduction of new products. This role is critical in successfully driving operational excellence to achieve production targets and ensure quality product output while also demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a passion for driving operational excellence. This position is located in North Huntingdon, PA.
Key Responsibilities include :
- Implement and maintain robust ISO quality management program to ensure product quality and organizational reporting of metrics / KPIs
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and procedures to maximize productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Lead the development of manufacturing control plans, PFMEAs, and SPC techniques to monitor and control critical processes
- Define required production tooling, fixtures, and equipment necessary to drive efficient manufacturing operations
- Perform incoming material & in-process inspections along with driving root cause analysis, 8Ds, 5Ys, and corrective / preventive actions for internal & supplier non-conformances
