The Hampden County Sheriff’s Office is seeking an experienced, motivated Admissions/Discharge Assistant for the Western Massachusetts Regional Women’s Correctional Center in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The Admissions/Discharge Assistant performs a variety of clerical duties for the Intake/Classification Department, including interviewing inmates to obtain information, data entry, filing, running Criminal Justice Information Services checks, clerical duties, preparing bails, collecting DNA, working with trial courts and answering phone calls in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures.
The Admissions/Discharge Assistant also is responsible for monitoring email communications from the courts and outside agencies and processing updates; and maintaining complete confidentiality of all inmate records, including entering and updating data while maintaining proper security compliance with state and national standards in accordance with CORI, PREA, DOC and ACA standards. The Admissions/Discharge Assistant works closely with Correctional Caseworkers and Counselors, supplying all relevant information needed to assist Unit Management and Direct Supervision in the living units.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1-9 p.m.
