What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position at Hampden County Sheriff's Office?
The Hampden County Sheriff's Office is hiring full-time EMTs who are looking for a change of pace and a regular schedule in a structured environment at our Main Institution in Ludlow and Western Massachusetts Regional Women's Correctional Center in Chicopee. The EMTs will work with various healthcare professionals and security personnel in a correctional environment.
Be an EMT with the Sheriff's Office and provide meaningful care to our justice-involved individuals including withdrawal management, checking vital signs, Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale, Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment for Alcohol, admission intake screenings, and on-site emergency responses.

Work Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Three (3) 12-hour shifts (7 p.m.-7 a.m.) plus one (1) 4-hour shift, with rotating weekends
