In this vital role, you won’t just be resetting passwords—you’ll be a critical part of keeping our systems running smoothly and ensuring our staff has the tools and support they need to succeed.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; must be able to work any shift as directed.
What You’ll Do:
As a Help Desk Specialist, you’ll be the first line of defense when tech trouble strikes. You’ll troubleshoot issues, guide users through problems, and help implement solutions that keep our operations efficient and secure. You’ll also:
- Serve as the go-to expert for Help Desk requests related to office applications, hardware, software, and telecommunications systems.
- Investigate and resolve user issues or escalate as needed.
- Collaborate with IS&T staff to identify needs and implement improvements across systems.
- Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, Exchange mailboxes, and more.
- Provide training and support to staff on the use of applications and systems.
- Maintain documentation, procedures, and reports to help our Help Desk run like a well-oiled machine.
- Be part of an on-call rotation and ready to lend a hand when needed.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Business, or a related field — OR — 1–2 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma/equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, network environments, PC operating systems, and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
- Stellar verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong customer service mindset and a collaborative, problem-solving attitude.
- Availability for on-call support
- Ability to lift and transport hardware
- Valid driver’s license
- Maintain an active, accessible phone number
