Key responsibilities:
- Assist the staff nurse with both administrative and clinical duties.
- Maintain adequate medical supplies and ensure proper organization.
- Accurately document patient records and maintain statistical data.
- Oversee patient self-administration of medication (e.g., insulin) after proper training.
- Take and document vital signs.
- Provide first aid and emergency medical care as needed.
- File medical documents appropriately and ensure confidentiality.

Work schedule: Must be able to work any shift as directed; the current assignment is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum three years of experience in an emergency department, acute care or ambulatory care setting.
- Medical Assistant certification through a recognized certifying agency required.
- Phlebotomy certification or experience.
- CPR and AED certified.
- Must have working knowledge of substance use disorder and be able to identify signs of drug and alcohol intoxication.
- Ability to organize assignments, and develop and maintain accurate documentation.
- Experience using universal precautions and sterile technique.
- Effective communication, verbal and written.
- Maintain known and accessible phone number.
- Valid driver's license.
