Hampden-Sydney College is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist with the management of sponsored projects, including prospect research, proposal development, award compliance, budget tracking, and project closeout.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist faculty and staff in assessing their needs for external funding and researching public and private funding prospects.
- Facilitate the grant application process by reviewing funding opportunity announcements, checking eligibility requirements, and preparing application documents.
- Ensure compliance with award agreements and reporting requirements.
- Meet with project participants on a regular basis to monitor progress on awarded projects.
- Work closely with the Business Office and project director to track budgets, process invoices, and resolve financial issues.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to grantors as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Previous budgeting and project management experience is preferred; however, training will be provided for candidates who do not have this experience but are interested in the field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and interpret complex instructions and policies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
