Garden Center Merchandisers
Enjoy a delightful, fast-paced job at your local Home Depot Garden Center tending to houseplants received from Hampshire Farms. If you have a passion for plants and display, this may be what you've been looking for! This is a part-time position with fluctuating hours dependent on the season.
This merchandiser position is available for Immediate Hire in the South Elgin, IL area.
Job requirements include:
- Setting up/organizing plants onto display tables per specifications
- Watering, pruning, and inspecting plants
- Sweeping, breaking down boxes, and cleaning the area
- Must be able to work Saturdays leading up to Valentine's Day, Easter, and Mother's Day and the day after Thanksgiving (partial days)
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be dependable and communicative
- Must be able to lift 30-35lbs regularly as well as pushing/twisting/pulling/reaching/bending
- Must have and use your smartphone each shift
The ideal person is self-directed, takes both initiative and direction, and is comfortable working on their own at the store. Experience not required.
Starts out at 5-6 hours per week and will increase to 15-25 weekly hours during the height of the season (Late March through June)
