We are seeking a Chiropractic Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the office running smoothly.
Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greeting patients as they arrive, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing any questions about the services offered.
- Appointment Scheduling: Managing the office calendar, booking new appointments, and handling cancellations or rescheduling.
- Record Keeping: Updating patient files, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed before and after treatments.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Assisting patients with signing in, explaining procedures, and ensuring they understand post-treatment care. Ensuring smooth transitions from one stage of care to the next.
- Communication: Liaising between the chiropractor and the patients, as well as coordinating with other office staff to ensure patient flow is efficient.
Billing Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification and Claims: Checking patients' insurance coverage for chiropractic services, verifying eligibility, and submitting insurance claims accurately.
- Patient Payments: Processing payments for services rendered, handling co-pays, and offering patients information on payment plans, if necessary.
- Invoicing and Follow-Up: Preparing invoices for patients, following up on unpaid bills, and addressing billing inquiries or disputes.
- Coding and Documentation: Ensuring that proper medical coding is used for chiropractic services to facilitate the accurate submission of claims and reimbursement.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures (not required but a bonus)
