The Hampton Inn Knoxville-Airport is seeking a Shuttle Driver responsible for shuttling guests to and from our hotel to Tyson McGhee Airport .
Position Summary:
The Hotel Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting guests to and from the airport. This role also includes assisting guests with luggage, providing information about the hotel and local area, and ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hotel shuttle vehicles in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
- Transport guests to and from the airport, and other request within allowed mileage.
- Assist guests with loading and unloading luggage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle vehicle.
- Maintain a clean and presentable shuttle interior and exterior.
- Monitor shuttle schedule and coordinate with front desk to ensure timely pickups/drop-offs.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities.
- Provide guests with information about hotel services, local restaurants, attractions, and events.
- Report any maintenance issues or incidents to management immediately.
- Comply with all traffic laws and hotel policies.
- Assisting with Houseman duties during non-active shuttle times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in driving or customer service roles preferred.
- Must have Valid F Endorsement on license, or have the ability to obtain one.
- Applicant must be able to successfully pass a Background check.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the local area and directions is a plus.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor driving in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move heavy luggage (up to 50 lbs).
- Periods of sitting while driving, with occasional lifting and walking.
