What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Hampton by Hilton?
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain assigned areas according to established standards and procedures
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to hotel standards
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff and follow all health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping management techniques is a plus
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques for different surfaces and materials
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices
- Experience in industrial cleaning or floor care is a bonus
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
