What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Supervisor position at Hampton by Hilton?
Key Responsibilities: Supervision & Leadership:
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area cleaners.
- Assign daily tasks and inspect rooms to ensure they meet Hilton brand standards.
- Train new housekeeping employees on proper cleaning techniques and hotel policies.
- Motivate and coach team members to maintain a high level of productivity and service.
Operational Excellence:
- Ensure guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are cleaned, stocked, and maintained according to Hampton Inn brand standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and linen; place orders as needed.
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance department for timely resolution.
- Monitor and enforce OSHA safety and sanitation regulations.
Guest Satisfaction & Quality Assurance:
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
- Ensure all lost and found items are properly logged and stored.
- Conduct deep cleaning schedules and uphold Hilton’s cleanliness standards.
- Assist in preparing for and passing brand quality assurance (QA) inspections.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience required; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Familiarity with Hilton brand standards is a plus.
