What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping position at Hampton by Hilton?
Duties:
- Clean and maintain assigned hotel rooms and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness
- Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing
- Change linens and make beds in guest rooms
- Replenish supplies such as towels, toiletries, and amenities
- Empty trash and replace garbage bags
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and fixtures
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the housekeeping management
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail
- Strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed within designated timeframes
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
Note: Experience with custodial duties or carpet cleaning is a bonus but not required for this position.
