We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, particularly in a hotel environment where guest satisfaction is paramount.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers to launder various items including linens, towels, and uniforms.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for specific garments or items.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred, especially in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, including dry cleaning processes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods during shifts.
