Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part Time Laundry Person to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and garments are laundered, and presented to the highest standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of our services, particularly in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and pressing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for easy distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all tasks.
- Retrieves dirty linens from guest rooms.
- Separates linens by type and pre-treats stains.
- Ensures dirty linens are properly washed and dried.
- Folds and stacks clean linen on linen carts.
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Perform various other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry or dry cleaning environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and quality.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
