ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Dessert Artisan (Team Member) at Hampton Chocolate Factory, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable, one-of-a-kind experiences for every guest. You’ll bring energy, enthusiasm, and attention to detail to each shift—whether you’re preparing treats, working the register, or engaging with guests.
In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep the store clean, organized, and running smoothly. You’ll work side-by-side with your team to ensure high standards of service, product quality, and store presentation. From learning recipes to mastering daily routines, you’ll be part of a collaborative and fast-paced environment that thrives on excellence and hospitality.

YOU WILL
- Create "Instagram-worthy" desserts that showcase the Hampton Chocolate Factory’s brand and delight our customers.
- Work closely with your team and leadership to deliver a “one-of-a-kind” guest experience during every shift.
- Support daily operations by staying organized, following routines, and keeping service areas clean and stocked.
- Maintain a positive, energetic presence on the floor, especially during busy shifts.
- Follow company standards and daily habits that create a smooth and efficient work environment.
- Share guest feedback or operational observations with Shift Leads or Managers to help improve the store experience.
- Participate in new product rollouts or changes by learning quickly and staying engaged.
- Uphold food safety and cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for guests and coworkers.
- Use tools like Toast, 7Shifts, and Slack to stay informed and communicate effectively with your team.
- Help maintain organization in both front and back-of-house areas throughout your shift.
- Assist with onboarding and welcoming new team members by sharing tips and best practices.
- Stay focused on service goals and support team efforts to meet daily and weekly targets.
- Participate in team huddles and store updates to stay aligned on goals and brand values.
- Represent the Hampton Chocolate Factory with professionalism, enthusiasm, and teamwork on every shift.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional desserts and guest experiences.
- 1–2 years of experience in fast-paced food & beverage or hospitality environments; dessert or pastry experience is a plus but not required.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Eager to learn and grow within the company, with a passion for developing new skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
- A team player who values collaboration, communication, and a positive work environment.
- Clear and respectful communicator with a can-do attitude when facing day-to-day challenges.
- Committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and guest-focused environment.
- Strong attention to detail when following recipes, procedures, and cleanliness standards.
- Quick to learn new systems, tools, and seasonal menu updates.
- Adaptable and dependable, especially during busy periods or high-volume shifts.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and a variety of shifts as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable bending, reaching overhead, and using kitchen equipment (tongs, pans, etc.).
- Able to work in varied temperatures (hot and cold).
- May need to work in tight spaces and occasionally in outdoor weather conditions.
- Requires frequent communication with team members and multitasking across responsibilities.
- Must be able to see clearly (close, distance, peripheral vision) and occasionally sit, squat, or kneel.
- Must be alert, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a physically demanding setting.
