This position is based at our Meherrin location in Charlotte Courthouse, VA.
The Company
With more than 40 locations along the eastern seaboard in the United States, Meherrin Agricultural and Chemical Company is a leading provider of seeds, chemicals, and fertilizers to farmers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Loads and assists in loading of orders for customers
- Operates Box truck to deliver product to customers
- Assist warehouse staff when not on the road
- Great driving record
- Deliver products to other connected locations
- Other duties as assigned
- Safety mindset
- Inspects trucks daily to monitor the need for routine maintenance
- Refuel trucks as required
- Services truck oil/air/and fuel filters as needed
- Complies with all DOT regulations
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Forklift experience preferred
- Team Player
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work weekends as needed
- Work well individually and with other employees
Physical Demands
- Must be able to pass DOT Medical Exam
- Lift 100 pounds on a regular basis
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Forklift certifications a plus
Work Environment
- Work outside in hot and cold conditions
