This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.

Job Purpose
In the role of a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machinery and equipment to maintain the uninterrupted operation of our production processes. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and Pneumatic systems will be essential in minimizing downtime and optimizing efficiency. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, lubricating, and cleaning machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, low voltage systems, PLCs, and Pneumatic issues with production equipment and machinery identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components, such as motors, bearings, belts, sensors, and Pneumatic cylinders, to minimize downtime and prevent production delays.
- Utilize hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions accurately.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules to perform scheduled inspections, adjustments, and replacements of parts to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with production staff and supervisors to prioritize maintenance tasks and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment manuals, and spare parts inventory, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards.
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices in maintenance and repair.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of Maintenance Technician experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads, up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods on hard surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
- Understanding of safety and food safety protocols and willingness to follow all safety guidelines.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Work in extreme weather conditions.
- Climb ladders and steps, including the ability to ascend elevated heights.
