Stonegate Golf Club is hiring a Banquets & Membership Sales Manager to join our team!
The Club, located in Kissimmee, FL, prides itself on a 36-hole combination golf course and three food and beverage venues, The Grill, a fun sports bar, and Mosaics which offers a classic country club atmosphere and the Marketplace Bistro. All set among 100-year old oak hammocks, lush greenery, peaceful waterways and streams.
Salary: $45K base salary with an opportunity to earn up to $80K after commission.

Job purpose
To ensure a full and active membership for promoting and selling the club’s dining and banquet facilities for private banquets, weddings, convention activities and golf events. Administer and coordinate sales, enrollment, orientation, processing, and member and community relations.
Duties and responsibilities
- Provide the membership, community and guests with friendly, diplomatic, professional and knowledgeable service in the above mentioned areas
- Create an environment that fosters club and community support and pride
- Present prospective members the facility, generate a strong prospect base and pursue potential membership opportunities for future enrollment
- Solicit and acquire new members while maintaining the integrity of the existing member base to meet or exceed figures reflected in the budget
- Complete processing of Member applications, profiles and membership cards and update the roster and data base.
- Update personnel on new members, resignations and special needs and interact with departments to enhance the membership experience
- Create marketing content, coordinate member correspondence and monthly club activity calendars with assistance from the Hampton Golf Marketing department
- Responsible to coordinate and work closely with the Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef, Director of Golf and Corporate Personnel
- Promote, schedule and coordinate membership, community and guest activities, which involves meetings, coordinating with members and guests in person and or writing, reservations, obtaining pertinent information (number of persons, seating arrangements, decorations, music, entertainment, menu suggestions or help in the development of the menu in conjunction with the Executive Chef, quotes and prices), draws up and secures contracts with deposits and signatures, inspects final arrangements and adds final touches.
- Supervise team members to ensure outstanding guest service
- Responsible for the hiring, training and scheduling of banquet personnel.
- Maintain focus on quality services and generating revenues to meet or exceed budgeted numbers through events and activities
- Diplomatically interface with the Community Service Manager to enhance member or guest experiences within the community and facility
- Gather a working knowledge of the club’s membership services, schedule of fees and charges, billing process, guest policies and rules and regulations
- Purchase and maintain supplies within budgetary constraints
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Banquet Facility and affiliated storage areas
- Oversee banquet events from initial booking, planning, execution and post event follow up
Qualifications
- A degree in recreation, hospitality or a communication field, preferred.
- 2 years of relevant work experience in catering, events and membership sales, required.
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform managing the sales process within a hospitality environment.
Working conditions
Work is both indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Physical requirements

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 80 lbs., up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 20 lbs. constantly. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other sports equipment that may weigh 50 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.
