Northland Country Club is a private Golf and Country Club located in beautiful Duluth, MN. The club features an 18-hole, par 71 golf course, tennis courts, heated outdoor pool, year-round casual and fine dining, and banquet services. During the summer months, the club also offers outdoor food and beverage service.
Pay: $20 - $23 an hour based on experience with bonus potential

Job Purpose
Directs the daily operations of the dining room, maintain exceptional member relations, execute the highest of quality standards, to include: top service and overall cleanliness and to maximize sales and profits. Facilitate communication between the dining area and the kitchen. Hire, train, and supervise front of house staff, enforce dining room policies. Oversee customer service, making sure customers are greeted, their orders taken, and receive proper service.
Duties and responsibilites
- Participate in the responsibility to train, direct and supervise dining room staff; facilitate communication between the dining area the kitchen.
- Familiar with all selections offered on the dining room menu.
- Circulate constantly throughout the dining room during principal hours of service coaching and directing, to maintain and increase quality of service
- Pre-shift educational/motivational meetings executed daily.
- Maintain a F&B Manual, which reflects service standards, food quality production, portion, cost control, while conforming to State Health Department Codes.
- Maintain beverage procurement guidelines, Liquor Control Board requirements and observe responsible alcohol beverage service to protect from liability.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas.
- Complete opening and closing checklists.
- Prepare and submit weekly employee schedules and bi-weekly payroll summaries to the GM. Adjust actual schedules to ensure efficient use of employees.
- Promote, organize and service F&B activities.
- Attend and participate in the weekly department and other periodic employee meetings.
- Plan, organize and manage daily activity.
- Manage and monitor daily accurate activity and financial requirements, ordering of products, stock levels and monthly inventory.
- Conduct daily walk-through to ensure the facility is safe and presentable and that courtesy and efficiency are being exercised throughout.
- Protect the assets of the Club.
- Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards and constraints as established by Hampton Golf and the Club.
- Maintain Food Handlers Certificate.
Qualifications
Culinary or hospitality degree OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitor and develop subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas, write and read member communication.
