Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and attentive service to Members and Guests. Strive to enhance the overall dining experience by anticipating and fulfilling customer needs.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the respective tables in a timely manner, ensuring all items are accurately presented and promptly served.
- Conduct visual checks on food items to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery.
- Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
- Assist in setting up dining tables with proper utensils, condiments, and tableware.
- Act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
- Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils.
- Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
- Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in food delivery areas, including food trays, carts, and serving stations. Adhere to food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Work collaboratively with FOH and BOH team to achieve operational goals and deliver exceptional service.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Complete 3-6 months of Serving Assistant / Expo
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably a restaurant or golf club setting
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
- Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
- Availability to work various shifts, including weekends.
- Multi-tasking abilities.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
