Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager located in Lancaster, PA. The Sales Manager will be responsible for day-to-day sales activities, including developing sales strategies, managing sales teams, and meeting sales targets to drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Prepare an action plan for the effective search of sales leads and prospects.
- Initiate and coordinate the development of action plans to penetrate new markets.
- Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Provide timely, accurate, and competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales, and activity reports.
- Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes; ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals, and closes.
- Exemplify personal character, commitment, organizational, selling skills, and work habits.
- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
- Proactively support company compliance with Health and Safety legislation through adherence to company policies, processes, and practices.
- Ensure that all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies, and ethics codes of conduct.
- Undertake any other activity as reasonably requested by management.
- Full understanding of Group Contract Agreement, and ability to complete timely.
- Responsible to enter the Group block and Rooming List into the appropriate PMS.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Hotel experience preferred.
- Driver’s license required.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Mathematical Skills is required.
- Proficient in professional negotiation and adept at quickly finding alternatives.
- Knowledgeable of utilizing. PEP, Delphi, Meeting Broker and R&I.
- Full understanding of the STR report.
- Capable to create an LNR Direct booking link when it’s applicable.
- Capable to rate loading an LNR account into the GDS system.
