Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key role in supporting the overall operations of Hampton Inn Ann Arbor South, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This position assists the General Manager in overseeing all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance, while also managing staff, guest relations, and day to day activities.
Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring high standards of service and guest satisfaction in all areas.
- Staff Management: Supervise and motivate hotel staff, including training, performance evaluations, and creating schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Guest Relations: Address guest concerns, handle escalated issues, and ensure that all guest feedback is responded to in a timely and professional manner.
- Financial Performance: Monitor and help manage departmental budgets, operating expenses, and revenue goals. Assist in the development and implementation of cost-control procedures.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations. Assist with inspections and audits to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports for the General Manager regarding operational performance, occupancy rates, guest satisfaction scores, and financial reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager to develop and implement hotel strategies to improve performance, enhance guest experience, and increase profitability.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify potential issues and work with the team to find creative solutions to challenges that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in hotel operations, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Skills:
