LAUNDRY ATTENDANT
Position Summary:
The laundry worker works under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper & General Manager. His or her responsibilities include following a daily schedule, performing basic laundry duties, guest service & satisfaction and housekeeping when asked to do so.
Primary Responsibilities:
Load the washers
Clean the lint in the dryer filters once a day
Transfers all linens already in the washer to the dryer immediately upon completion of the first
washing cycle
Removes laundry from chutes & carts: presorts linens to locate stained or torn items
Maintain count of discarded items
Load & operates washer & dryer
Fold & stack towels, sheets, and other linens
Clean storeroom & laundry area
Process damaged linen
Make sure there are enough linens per floor and stocks each floor
Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Standing and walking for long periods of time during shift (approximately 7 hours)
Carrying and lifting laundry
Bending, stooping, to pick up and fold laundry
