What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance position at Hampton Inn by Hilton DeKalb?
The Hampton Inn by Hilton DeKalb is now hiring for our Maintenance position. This position requires a professional appearance, technical understanding, and the ability to remain organized.
Purpose: To oversee, and supervise all aspects of the hotel’s maintenance operations, including public space, guestrooms, kitchen, F&B outlets, laundry, hotel equipment, preventative maintenance programs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, swimming pool, life safety, etc.
Job Responsibilities (others May Be Assigned)
· Maintains and actively participates (self-assigns rooms to themselves as part of the position responsibilities), in the hotel’s Preventative Maintenance program to ensure all guestrooms meet Hilton Standards for working order at all times.
· Possesses a complete and working understanding of all building-related systems – Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Life Safety, IT, Garage, Phones, etc.
· Possesses a complete understanding and completes preventative maintenance and repairs to building and building-related equipment – HVAC, Kitchen, Laundry, Swimming Pool, landscaping, irrigation, roofing, etc.
· “Hands-on”, including completing preventative maintenance on guestrooms and hotel building/equipment, repairs on guestrooms and hotel building/equipment, and employing a hands-on training approach with staff.
· Possess or willingness to obtain CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license
· Skilled in several areas such as HVAC, electrical, carpentry, roofing, dry wall, paint, wall vinyl, mechanical, plumbing, refrigeration and landscaping.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate with employees, vendors, guests, and management.
· Computer literate with regards to Microsoft software as well as hotel operating systems.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
