What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant / Houseperson position at Hampton Inn by Hilton Greensburg?
We are a multiple award winning hotel looking for a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our back of house crew!
JOB SUMMARY:
The laundry/house person is responsible for the cleanliness of all linens and public areas in our hotel. An ideal candidate will have a smile on their face and a "can-do" attitude!
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have basic knowledge of cleaning, including products and operation of equipment.
- Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication between guests and team members.
JOB DUTIES:
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold hotel linen using commercial size washers and dryers.
- Stock housekeeping closets.
- Light linen inventory on a weekly basis.
- Basic cleaning and sanitizing of laundry area.
- Assist housekeeping with stripping beds and collecting linens as requested by supervisor.
- Deep cleaning of public areas of hotel, including but not limited to: Lobby Area, Hallways, Restrooms, Exterior/Parking Lot
- Assisting in delivering amenities to guest rooms.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Wiping windows and doors.
- Dusting and polishing furniture.
- Taking out trash throughout hotel.
- Any additional duties that may be assigned by management.
