JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Laundry Attendant
POSITION: Non-Exempt
RESPONSIBLE TO: General Manager/Head Housekeeper
Scope and General Purpose
The Laundry Attendant ensures a safe and efficient operation of the laundry department on a daily basis. Use proper cleaning and care of the laundry items and laundry equipment.
***The working schedule is solely based upon the needs of the hotel
business, meaning that the hours worked are directly
affected by the hotel’s occupancy. ***
Main Duties
1. Practices customer service behaviors, such as listening, initiative, responsiveness, cheerfulness, accommodation, courtesy, honesty, and professionalism.
2. Makes decisions in the best interests of the property and in compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
3. Demonstrates positive Team spirit providing assistance to other Team members as necessary to achieve required standards of productivity and guest care.
4. Separates linen from terry and shakes to expose any items left behind from guests for submission to Lost &
Found.
