Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens and towels are laundered, and dried to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role is essential in maintaining the quality of service provided to our guests in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder hotel linens and guest clothing.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry items according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning agents and chemicals while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Inspect all items for stains and implement stain protocols immediately. Inspect for damages before processing and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to promote a safe working environment.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking linen usage and reporting low stock levels.
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens and towels to the storage closets.
Skills
- Previous or laundry setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify stains and ensure quality control.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques, is a plus.
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy loads as needed.
