Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper handling of all laundry items within our facility, which may include a hotel or similar environment. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation for our guests.
Duties
- Launder and dry clean linens, towels, and guest clothing as required.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store laundry items efficiently.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
