Basic Function:
Responsible for the daily cleaning of guest rooms. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using other combination of skills and abilities. Shifts set by management must include, and no later than, a 9 am start time. A member of housekeeping must be available during this scheduled time.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Clean assigned guest rooms in a timely manner
2. Clean guest rooms according to policies and procedures in required amount of time
3. Call in each checked out room as cleaned to the front desk
4. Communicate with the front desk on the status of stay over and check outs
5. Communicate with laundry personnel
6. Remove used linens from each room in a timely manner
7. Stock and restock housekeeping carts
8. Assist a guest on any floor
9. Report any needed maintenance repairs to the maintenance staff
10. Perform other duties as assigned
11. Meet all requirements as stated in the employee handbook
Requirements:
- Clean neat appearance

- Ability to complete entire shift with majority of shift on feet
- Self-motivating, ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload
- Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or move goods weighing a maximum of 20 lbs.
- Sufficient manual dexterity in hands
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines
- Ability to effectively deal with Guests of whom will require elevated levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy
