Hampton Inn Portage, IN is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Worker for its 60-room hotel in Portage IN.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain upkeep in all guestrooms through Hampton Preventative Maintenance program.

Maintain upkeep of exterior grounds with landscaping and cleaning as needed

Turns around work orders in a timely manner.

Tests and maintains water content of swimming pool per Hampton standards along with state requirements.

General repairs to furniture in the guestrooms with hands-on training.

Maintains a clean environment at all times.

Maintains outside curb appeal inclusive of parking lot, landscaping and outside grounds.

Rotates mattresses quarterly.

Maintains upkeep of guestroom televisions, electronic locks and refrigerators through hands-on training.

Light plumbing repairs such as toilets, tubs and sinks in all guestrooms.

Helps in Quality Assurance program to make sure property is clean.

Maintains and tests life safety systems through Hampton brand standards.

Maintains pest control issues by treating the places regularly and as needed.

Must be professional at all times, in uniform and clean environment.

Assists with any other duties required by the General Manager to enhance the overall operation of the hotel along with better serving our guests.

Skills/Qualifications:

Hotel Maintenance/Custodial experience from a previous hotel.

Great people skills in dealing with both staff and guests.

Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Valid state issued driver’s license.

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Portage, IN: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
