Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced part time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facility maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee housekeeping staff, manage daily operations, and ensure compliance with cleaning protocols.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and adherence to company standards.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; order as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules that optimize staff productivity while maintaining quality service.
• Address guest inquiries or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain records of staff performance, incidents, and any necessary reports related to housekeeping operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality or hotel management is preferred.
• Proven experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles within a custodial setting.
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and industrial cleaning practices.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and guests.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is an advantage.
