What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitor/Maintenance position at Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton?
The Hampton Inn & Suites in Hudson, WI is looking for hard-working individual to join our custodial/maintenance team! The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and be able to work independently, but also take direction well. Position would be between 20 and 32 hours per week, and would ideally include at least one Saturday or Sunday each week. This position will work closely with maintenance, and will report mainly to our head engineer.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to frequently lift, push and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs, and may weigh up to 70 lbs.
Previous custodial or maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: setting up/tearing down the meeting room, taking out trash, cleaning public areas of the hotel (hallways, stairwells), cleaning outside areas of the hotel (parking lot, dog walk area), vacuuming, mopping, checking pool chemicals, unloading/putting away orders, tracking maintenance inventory, painting, shampooing carpets, and other general cleaning tasks.
Additional maintenance responsibilities will include: removing/cleaning room heat/air units, defrosting refrigerators, replacing florescent bulbs, and other repair tasks around the hotel, under the supervision of the head engineer.
There is some flexibility with start and end times, but this is a day shift, so please only apply if you are available to work 8am-4pm.
Pay is $18/hr.
