Summary:
Process daily audit of the Hotel’s financial data. Handle the requests and transactions of the Hotel guests, and coordinate with the other departments as necessary.
Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned
- Verify each Front Desk shift’s transactions.
- Ensure the accuracy of credit card transactions.
- Ensure that tax charges to all guest folios are posted accordingly.
- Finalize transactions completed during the day.
- Create and/or print required reports.
- File and transmit nightly and end-of-month (EOM) reports as directed.
- Review all arrivals and ensure that all OTA and advance purchase credit card payments have been processed.
- Handle the hotel phone system as per brand standards and answer guest requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Take, modify, and cancel guest reservations.
- Ensure that all cancellation and no-show charges and transactions are handled correctly.
- Verify, balance, and review hotel availability.
- Check in/out guests and perform “Zip checkout” duties, verify departure dates, and offer to make future reservations.
- Post miscellaneous charges to guest accounts and post no-show and cancellation charges.
- Handle shift cash transactions and verify the cash log with each shift closing report.
- Maintain the hotel key security system.
- Administer guest safe deposit boxes.
- Know the hotel emergency procedures and perform the Manager on Duty (MOD) duties and checklist daily.
- Conduct the initial duties of preparation, set up of the complimentary breakfast.
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests.
- Communicate hotel facilities and services to guests at check-in.
- Answer guest questions regarding local area facilities.
- Notify Housekeeping and Maintenance of any reported problems and/or grounds issues.
- Carry out any reasonable request by management that you are capable of performing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
